The LRF runs a catechism class for children in which bible history is taught for the first few years following the catechism material developed by the PRCA. The LRF has just finished going through Old Testament History for Juniors and New Testament History for Juniors, and we publish here the lesson outline plans developed and used by our pastor to teach these lessons.

Essentials of Reformed Doctrine is a systematic doctrine class aimed at older teenagers, but adapted in Ireland for adults who want to learn all the doctrines of Christianity.

Lesson 16 is "The State of Humiliation [continued]"

The main subjects covered in this Lesson are:

Part 1: The betrayal by Judas; the trial before the Jews and Pilate; the way of the Cross.

Part 2: Christ's death on the cross; His burial; Christ's descent into hell; the accomplishments of this suffering.

Part 1: Jesus Christ as God; Jesus Christ as man; the Person of Jesus Christ as the eternal Son of God. 

Part 2: Controversy concerning the deity of Christ (Arianism and the Council of Nicaea); controversy concerning the humanity of Christ and its relationship to His deity (Apollinarianism, Nestorianism, Eutychianism); the solution of Chalcedon.
