Rev Martyn McGeown, who graduated this past June from Protestant Reformed Theological Seminary in Michigan, USA, has been sent and ordained by the Covenant Protestant Reformed Church (CPRC) in Ballymena, N. Ireland as full-time missionary pastor to Limerick.
Here he will, Lord willing, labour in the Limerick Reformed Fellowship, preaching twice every Lord's Day, giving special lectures and doing mid-week Bible studies and catechism classes, as well as carrying out all the usual duties of a minister of the Word, with the goal of establishing an instituted church of Jesus Christ in this city.
This is cause of great rejoicing especially for all believers in Limerick, for whom the Lord has raised up a labourer to work in His vineyard, to preach to them the whole counsel of God.
Ordination
His ordination occured on Friday the 30th August 2010 in the new church building of the CPRC in Clarence Street, Ballymena. The audio and video of the sermon preached is available online.
Preaching Schedule
He began preaching in the LRF on Sunday the 25th July 2010 and will continue to do so regularly on the Lord's Days (click here for meeting times and venue) to which everyone is welcome.
